Research
We study the molecular and cellular mechanisms that enable mammalian fertilization, with a special focus on how sperm and egg membranes recognize and fuse. By combining cell biology, molecular genetics, and heterologous systems, we aim to identify the key factors that regulate gamete interaction and early embryo development, and to translate these findings into innovative tools for fertility assessment and improvement. Our research has broad applications in animal reproductive health, livestock production, and biodiversity conservation.
